The pier fishing, too, is extraordinary. Seawolf Park boasts a lighted pier, and the 61st Street Pier on Seawall Blvd is rated number one in the state. The waters around the Galveston T Head Fishing Pier, located at 90th & Seawall Blvd., was home to some of the largest Tarpon caught in the area. And is home to large trout,redfish, flounder, sharks, and other salt water trophies.
Some of the best charter fishing in the world can be found in Galveston. The Galveston Party Boats Incorporated is rated near the top. With daily chartered deep sea catamaran fishing excursions, and regular record catches, it provides an exciting adventure for the experienced as well as the novice fishing enthusiast.

Just a reminder, you need to obtain a fishing license before your adventure. There are may places where you can accomplish that. The localWal -mart, K-mart or tackle shop have easy access to a license. Or you can call the Texas Parks and wildlife Office at (800)895-4248 and purchase it by credit card. Non-resident license are $30, resident are $19. Kids under 17 are not required to have one.
